Tu Nidito Children & Family Services provides
support services to children and their families as they deal with serious
illnesses and loss. Over 200
children and their families are assisted each year through at least one of
the five non-competitive programs operated through Tu Nidito. Angel
Charity for Children, Inc. raised $100,000 in 1999 to fund Tu
Nidito’s bereavement program, re-named Angels By Your Side.
Tu Nidito’s pediatric professionals responsible for the
implementation of the Angels By Your Side program recognize that
bereavement issues begin the instant a children has been diagnosed with a
life-threatening illness and continue to when a child’s prognosis
becomes terminal and then upon the death.
While it is difficult, if not impossible to imaging loosing a
child, it does happen in our community.
Tu Nidito, with Angel Charity funding, ensures that families have
access to a support program where qualified professionals can help them to
take care of their families through difficult times.
