INTERMOUNTAIN CENTERS FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Intermountain Centers for Human Development has been providing residential services to at-risk youth for over 30 years.  Intermountain provides residential services to nearly 50 Seriously Emotionally Disturbed  (SED) children at any given time in Tucson.  The majority of the children are in the care of Child Protective Services.

In 1999, Angel Charity raised $596,822 for the purchase of a group home for the children that Intermountain serves.  The house contains six-bedrooms and is located on 5.6 acres of land.

A portion of the money was used to upgrade the home and to purchase furniture and supplies to ready the home for the childre who whould be living there.  The well-trained staff at Intermountain work with these children to help them learn the skills they need in order to develop into functional adults and productive citizens.

TU NIDITO + COMMUNITY FOOD BANK

$100,000 + $50,966

Tu Nidito Children & Family Services provides support service to children and their families as they deal with serious illnesses and loss.  Angel Charity raised $100,000 in 1999 to fund Tu Nidito's bereavement program, re-named Angels By Your Side.

Also in 1999, Angel Charity raised $50,966 in 1999 for the Community Food Bank to acquire a new International 20-foot stake bed truck that replaced an older, smaller one.  This effectively increased the Food Bank's ability to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables by at least 50%, from 300,000 to 450,000 pounds per year.
