St.
Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic has been providing health care services to
the Tucson community on a sliding fee scale for 40 years. These
services are
provided to the “working poor” by a dedicated staff and volunteer
professionals.
In 1998, Angel Charity
for Children, Inc. raised $590,000 to help in constructing a
4,700 sq. ft. building for the Angel Wing addition. Children are
particularly susceptible to accidents and acute illness. These
problems are more appropriately seen in an urgent care setting than in an
emergency room. The Angel Wing now serves over 2000 children,
doubling the number of children served in the past. Children are now
seen more quickly, in a child-friendly environment with specialized
equipment.
